"What have I got to lose?" was the question I asked myself when I joined Ali’s I AM A… transformation challenge.
Well twelve weeks later I am now in a prime position to roperly answer my own question. You’ll get as much or as little as you are prepared to take out of it. There is nothing to lose.
The most important elements I found that separates Ali’s transformation challenge from others is you are encouraged to set yourself three weekly goals to achieve on the journey to your ultimate I AM A… transformation goal and being accountable for them along the way.
The goals are your own individual stepping stones that will take you on your way along the twelve week journey. I assure you at times you’ll probably feel guilty for lack of will power or you’ll even want to quit at some point. But there was a support network from both Ali and the fellow participants, on Facebook, that was enough to me keep on track enough to make the difference.
I tried to vary my goals to cover:-
1. My fitness sessions and physical challenge goals for the week
2. A food related improvement I wanted to make to my lifestyle
3. A work, career or personal finance related goal to advance that area of my life.
I was surprised after only a couple of weeks how positive I felt by achieving those small goals and the sense of relief when I could cross some long-term items off my mental to-do list that were subconsciously eating at me. Little by little those goals were easier to achieve. Soon enough I wanted to challenge myself more and more by setting harder goals that led to a glowing sense of satisfaction when I completed those too.
I feel an important factor why I achieved what I did within the challenge was I put my faith in Ali. When she asked us to post our before photos, our weekly goals etc. I did so, often feeling uncomfortable, but it is probably the single most important thing you can do to give yourself a chance at improving yourself and completing the transformation challenge.
Accountability is the key, I feel. Although you might feel uncomfortable, like I did, it does get easier and truthfully everyone else in the challenge is just like you. Make yourself accountable and the support from everyone else (through Facebook) helps strengthen your resolve and really makes the difference.
I can’t thank Ali enough for helping me turn my life around. She provides a framework and support system within which it is possible to make a positive difference to your life.
You can be the best you can be. Put your faith in Ali, like I did, and she will help you become that person.
Yours sincerely,
Craig Williams.
